What Does It Really Take to Be a Leader? Reflecting on our recognition in the Everest Group’s IDP PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2026
In any industry, the word Leader is used so often that it can start to lose its punch. But in the world of enterprise technology, where the stakes involve multi-million dollar supply chains and global regulatory compliance, leadership isn’t just a marketing buzzword. It’s a title that has to be earned through consistent results, outstanding products, and most importantly, the trust of your customers.
We’re proud to share that Rossum has been named a Leader in the Everest Group Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2026. The recognition highlights Rossum’s exceptional market impact and the technical capability to execute on a clearly defined product vision in the rapidly evolving IDP landscape.

This recognition is a huge win for our team, and it made us think about what actually separates a leader from the rest of the pack in this fast-moving AI era. To our mind, there are two key things that define true leadership:
Having a North Star vision (and sticking to it)
True leaders anticipate where the market is heading and what is needed, and build the foundation to meet the need. Ideally, before it even arises.
As the IDP market continues to grow – reaching an estimated $1.71-1.73 billion in 2025 – enterprises are increasingly shifting toward platforms that offer end-to-end automation and advanced generative AI capabilities. Some players are adding AI to older software. From day one, our vision was different. We are AI-native, and we believe that for AI to work for business-critical processes, it can’t just be fast. It has to be certain.
At the center of Rossum’s platform is Aurora, our transactional LLM (T-LLM) trained on millions of transactional documents. Its instant learning capability allows the system to improve from every user validation in real time. Engineered for high-stakes document workflows, it delivers zero hallucinations and produces auditable outputs, so every extraction decision can be traced, reviewed, and validated.
Rossum’s specialist AI agents operate as virtual colleagues, managing the document lifecycle from splitting and validation to resolving complex exceptions and generating outbound communications. This provides end-to-end automation without the manual handoffs that traditionally slow operations down.
Leadership means having the conviction to build the right architecture from the ground up, even when it’s the harder path to take.
Impact is the key metric (and the one that earns trust)
Looking at Everest Group’s IDP PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2026, the highest priority evaluation criteria for IDP buyers is operational impact. For a company to be a leader, innovation has to translate into real-world value for the people using it.
As one of our founders, Tomas Gogar, puts it: “We built Rossum on the conviction that autonomous document processing has to earn the trust of the people and organizations it serves.” When your technology makes your customers more confident and more capable, generating real impact, you aren’t just a vendor, but a partner they trust.
Everest Group measures Market Impact, and for us, that impact is felt by 450+ enterprises like Siemens, Adyen, and Panasonic that trust us every day.
There’s nothing more convincing than real-life examples. Here are just two examples of what our customers achieved partnering with Rossum:
Imperial Dade | Unlocking early payment discounts at scale
Imperial Dade is North America’s leading distributor of foodservice packaging, janitorial equipment, and industrial supplies, with 120,000+ customers across 100+ locations.
Before Rossum, invoice processing at Imperial Dade took seven to ten days. Three separate teams were each touching the same invoice, doing the same work. Processing errors were common. Dirty data was entering their ERP. Early payment discounts were out of reach.
Rossum was deployed across 31 subsidiaries in four months. Invoice turnaround time dropped to one day. The AP team went from firefighting to strategy.
The result?
| Millions of $/yr | 4 months | 1 day |
| Projected early payment discounts | Go-live time across 31 subsidiaries | Invoice turnaround time |
“Before Rossum, we had three different groups, and each group was touching the same invoice, doing the same work every single time. It was taking seven to ten days to process an invoice, and on a busy Monday, we could be slammed with hundreds of invoices from the weekend alone.”
Allison Stone, AP Manager, Imperial Dade
LAPP | Order automation at scale in manufacturing
LAPP, a global leader in cable and connection technology, supplying integrated solutions and branded products to industrial sectors worldwide, deployed Rossum to tackle order automation. With a reputation built on precision, its challenge was keeping up with the volume that reputation creates.
With over 350,000 manual orders processed annually in the EMEA region and a product catalog of 40,000+ items, LAPP’s traditional order entry process had become a bottleneck. Every order entered by hand. Complex delivery requirements – cable cuttings, packaging specifications, address parsing – handled manually by staff who should have been focused on customers, not keyboards.
Working with KPMG, LAPP deployed Rossum as the engine of their new ‘Synergy Hub’ in Poland, a centralized order management operation built to standardize and automate across the business. The AI handles delivery instructions automatically, detects and prioritizes urgent orders, and validates shipping addresses against master data. One person now manages the Rossum interface. The rest of the team focuses on growth.
The result?
| 350K | 40K+ | 94.9% |
| Manual orders automated annually in EMEA | Items in product catalog processed without templates | Data field accuracy |
“Our vision was to bring our order entry process to the next level: maximum speed, automation, and quality. With this central approach, we’ve deployed a state-of-the-art, AI-based solution designed to process orders quickly and efficiently, even when received in completely unknown formats.”
Pascal Kömpf, Head of Global & EMEA Sales Excellence, LAPP
So whether it’s supporting 276+ languages for a global rollout or using AI agents to handle complex exceptions, leadership is about solving the messy, complicated problems and delivering real business impact.
Looking ahead
Being recognized by Everest Group is a great milestone, but we aren’t planning on slowing down. If anything, it’s a reminder that the bar is constantly moving higher. We’re going to keep refining Arora, making it better, ensuring we earn our Leader title every single day.
