The project automated processing of rates demands, very similar to a vendor invoice. The Technology solution consists of RPA, and at its core, Rossum’s Artificial Intelligence data extraction solution. The impact? Well over 90% of demands are extracted accurately, and improving all the time. Up to 70% of the Business Rates Managers’ time (about 550 hours across the team in March alone) has been freed up, creating capacity to focus on high priority and client-facing work.

“We were extremely proud to be recognized for our work with Cushman & Wakefield and how this is helping the real estate industry to take the next steps towards transformation. Rossum is an integral part of this solution, automating the management of rates demand documents. We have chosen Rossum’s platform for its user-friendly interface, and its flexibility to adapt invoice scanning models to the UK council’s demands layout,” says Dustin Strydom, Open Box Director of Automation Services.

“Our cooperation with Open Box for Cushman & Wakefield proves that an AI first, cloud first and human first approach represents the best solution to automate repetitive, manual and rules-based human activities,” says Tomas Gogar, CEO of Rossum. “We are very excited about the award that accentuated the importance of digital transformation in the real estate industry. And most importantly, we are happy that cognitive data capture gives managers the opportunity to work on high-priority work that really matters.”
