From this article you will learn:
What exactly is a queue in Rossum, and how can you manage queues and documents?
A queue is the Rossum app’s basic unit that helps you organize documents and manage workflow. You should create a separate Queue for every document type (such as invoices, packing lists, claims, etc.). Within a queue, you can configure custom automation settings. You can also add extensions to improve document workflows when linking up with other systems.
How to create a queue?
After your first login, you will be prompted to choose the document type you want to process to create a new queue. To do so, simply select the document category you wish to have in that queue:

We have six different document types ready to use instantly.
However, as you can see, other options are available after custom training. If you need some of those, click on it and request a demo. Our AI experts will show you how Rossum can automate your document processing for the selected document type.
Then you need to specify the origin of the documents. We need it to set the correct rules for the documents.

When you choose one of the regions, Rossum will automatically create your first queue and add an example document. Now you can import/send documents to it.
If you want to create another queue, follow the steps below:
- After login, click on the “+ Add” button in the left panel.
- Click the “Add new queue” button.
- Select the document type.
- Add the queue name, and select the Workspace and the documents’ region.

How to delete a queue
When you manage queues, it may happen that you won’t need a particular queue anymore. In such a case, you have the option to delete it quickly and easily:
- Click on the three-dotted drop-down menu visible next to the queue’s name
- Select the ‘Delete’ option
You can delete a queue even if it contains documents.
When you delete a queue, a warning will appear, asking you to confirm your choice. To proceed, you must check all confirmation options.
