Area Vice President of Sales

We are looking for an experienced Area VP of Sales who is obsessed with their own professional growth and the growth of those around them. We are building a best in class sales organization and need someone who can develop others while also not being afraid to get their hands dirty and go after new business themselves. 

At Rossum, our primary goal is to make B2B communication frictionless and to give humanity back precious time that is wasted with mind-numbing tasks! Rossum’s artificial intelligence platform is leveraged to automate end-to-end document processing more accurately & more intelligently than ever before. 

After tripling our revenue in 2020 and securing Eastern Europe’s largest-ever Series A funding of $100M in 2021 , we plan to further expand our market share and invest heavily across our Go-to-market teams & our research and development backbone.

As the Area Vice President of Sales you will play a critical role to ensure the continued long-term success of Rossum. In this role, the right candidate will be a key member of the Sales Leadership Team focused on driving closed business and revenue in partnership with the field based sales team. The ideal candidate will help us reach our aggressive revenue targets, lead by example, be a great deal strategist, and know how to drive focus amongst the team to close business. This is a full-time remote position US Based for a native English speaker.

Your mission: 

  • Lead your team to effectively manage the pipeline from beginning to end leveraging the Rossum sales processes: from new pipeline to closed deal.
  • Meet with team members weekly to ensure effective pipeline management, accurate forecasting of deals, and to discuss deal by deal strategy to move opportunities through the funnel.
  • Manages the sales efforts of the sales account executives for each defined geographic territory and channel.
  • Meet regularly with the executive team to evaluate the pipeline and ensure appropriate strategies are in play to hit our targets.
  • Jump in where needed, partner and sell deals actively. Know the pitch and deliver it with members of your team in the field.

You will fit if you have: 

  • 10-15 years of enterprise sales experience.
  • History of consistently exceeding quotas with a results-oriented nature AND a history of not hitting quoting, but understand the reasons why?
  • Positive attitude: go getter who does not quit and overcomes obstacles.
  • The ability to innovate and solve problems creatively, comfortable working with the uncertainty in a fast-paced environment.
  • Very high self awareness.
  • Nice to have: Entrepreneurship or startup experience.
  • Are honest, transparent and direct with your opinions. You base your opinions on data, but don’t cling to it in the face of good arguments.
